We’ve an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast growing full service Digital, Creative and Marketing agency based in Preston. The successful candidate will manage our new business initiatives, from database research and development, lead generation to pitch and conversion, 

You’ll be a key part in helping meet the agency’s ambitious growth targets by generating new business  across B2B and B2B sectors.

The role requires a commercially minded marketeer with experience of working in an energetic marketing environment. It’s a fast paced role, working across multiple projects, whilst maintaining outstanding levels of attention to detail. Strong organisation and time management skills are a given.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years experience in a business development role, ideally within an agency environment
  • Great relationship building skills, with internal teams and prospective clients
  • Successful track record of generating business
  • Strong communicator – we need someone who is great on the the phone, making prospecting calls on a daily basis
  • Able to work under instructions and independently
  • Tracking and reporting on all new business activity 
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Team player, good organisation/time management skills
  • Preferable to have B2B and B2C marketing experience
  • A friendly can-do attitude

Role & Responsibilities

  • Researching online to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Managing our new business database and pipeline of leads
  • Work with ICG team to develop marketing campaigns and implementing across multiple channels including email and direct mail 
  • Contacting potential clients via phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Following up new business leads and opportunities
  • Work with Managing Director to develop a targeted long-term new business strategy
  • Attendance at meetings and networking events
  • Deliver accurate management reporting and insight

Qualifications

  • 3+ year of marketing experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

This is a part time role – circa 3 days per week / 22 hours, based from our studio in Preston. Potential for one day per week to be work from home.
